Lattoo*

Lattoo is a traditional game that involves tops. The tops have a pointed end on which they can spin. These tops or Lattoos come with a string. The player throws the Lattoo down on the ground and yanks the string so that the Lattoo spins. This requires some skills on the player’s part.

Pittu Garam*

Pittu-Garam is a traditional game which is played between two teams. The game requires a tennis ball and set of seven stones which are stacked up such that a tower is formed. The aim of the game is to break the tower with the help of the ball and rebuild it before it gets hit by one of the opponents.

Aankh-Micholi*

Aankh Micholi is a game where one person is blindfolded for a count of some seconds while others hide. Then the blindfolded person removes his blindfold and start searching the other people. This game is designed in such a manner that seeker is at a disadvantage and all others are at an upper hand.

Maram Pitti*

The primary tool used in this game is skipping rope. Both the ends are held by two children, each at one side. They are supposed to wave the rope on the floor and the other children have to jump over it turn by turn. Slowly and gradually, the level of the waves increases. The one who stays for long run of time in the game, is the winner.

Kho Kho*

In the game of Kho Kho, both the teams have twelve players, but nine and 2 players play on the field respectively. The two avoid to get tapped by the other players of the opponent team. When they get tapped, the next two players of their team replace them. And the game continues like this. Both the teams get to play both the parts and hence, by comparing the results, winner is decided!

Ko Kla Chapatti*

In this traditional game, all the participants sit on the ground in circular form. All of them have to shut their eyes off while one of the members walks, carrying a handkerchief. The moment he taps on the back of any one member, that member has to stand up and chase the tapper and catch him. If he catches, he can sit again otherwise he has to replace the tapper. Like this, the game continues.

Stapu-Hopscotch*

Stapu-Hopscotch is a children’s game that can be played by several players or even an individual. Hopscotch is a popular playground game in which players turn by turn toss a small object into numbered spaces of a rectangular outline and then hop or jump to pick up the object that they tossed.

Marbles*

A marble is a small spherical toy usually made up of glass. These balls vary in size. This game is about hitting the right target using a little Marble, which is also known as kancha.

Sack Race

The sack race is a competitive game in which participants place both of their legs inside a sack case which reaches till their waist.Because they are in the sack, they won’t be able to walk and that is why they have to jump and move forward. The one who reaches the finish line first is the winner of the game.

Skipping

Skipping is a fun activity which a sole person can perform. It is done with the help of skipping rope. The person jumps over the rope again and again whilst holding it from both of it’s ends.

Gilli Danda

Gilli Danda is an amateur sport played in the rural areas and small towns all over India. This game is played with two sticks, a large one called a Danda, which is used to hit the smaller one.

Kite Flying

A kite is a tethered aircraft. the necessary lift that makes the kite wing fly is generated when air flow over and under the kites wing, Producing low pressure above the wing and high pressure below it. This deflection also generate horizontal drag along the direction of the wind.
